Abstract

In this case, meaning and relevance of often used concepts and principles such as reserved and protected forests, productive and protective forests, afforestation and reforestation, normal and abnormal forests, sustained yield, upset price, major and minor forest produce, and working plans have been discussed. This form the basis for a number of observations and discussion on forest management practices in India.
