| Abstract: | The note examines the need for systems analysis approach in designing new systems or improving existing systems. It examines the several different ways in which the term systems analysis has been defined. The main steps of systems analysis, defining objectives, choosing measures of performance, generating alternatives, and evaluating alternatives are examined. The use of models in evaluating alternatives is discussed. |
