This case deals with the product mix plan of Lotus Thread Company Limited (LTCL) focusing on developing an LP model. The LP approach for optimum product mix plan is expected to be helpful in identifying the products to be "pushed", downplayed or to be dropped. It is also helpful for capacity planning and order processing. This case deals only with a limited number of products but the approach can be extended for the entire product range. The manufacturing process of thread has been dealt here in detail.en
