| Abstract: | In 1992, the Department of Telecom (DOT) announced provisional selection of bidders for licensing the operation of cellular mobile telephone services in the four metropolitan cities. This case deals with a legal saga that Hutchison Max Telecom Pvt. Ltd. (HMTP) underwent between January 1993 and October 1994. This case focuses on the implications and learnings for the future as a consequence of the judicial proceedings. |
