Abstract: | The driver of a lorry that was contracted for transporting alumina to the smelter complained that a company worker demanded Rs. 60 as bribe for unloading the alumina.The accused worker was identified by the driver in presence of a security guard and the supervisor of the area. Based on the written complaint submitted by the driver, the worker was charged with major misconduct under the certified standing orders and was placed under suspension. Since the reply furnished by the accused was unacceptable, a domestic enquiry was ordered. Assistant Superintendent Personnel was appointed as the enquiry officer. |
