Abstract

This case presents the situation faced by Mr. Sundaram as he took charge of Atul Vidyalaya, an ICSE affiliated school in Valsad, Gujarat State, as its principal. The case describes the objectives of the school, the policies and practices followed by the board of trustees, the expectations of the trustees, parents, and the teachers, and the infrastructure of the school. Mr. Sundaram is required to formulate a strategy to manage the school in the above context. To facilitate his task the case provides information on the profiles of the trustees and performers of the school.
