Abstract: | In this technical note we discuss some useful techniques for gathering sensitive data. We discuss three methods of Randomized response surveys warner’s methods, unrelated questions method and a method for gathering sertives quantitative data. All there methods has been extensively field tested and has been found to be of great value in reducing non corporation/misreporting in sensitive surveys.Randomized Response Technique(RRT) is an extremely powerful technique of obtaining sensitive information which cannot be otherwise obtained. In this note we explain the technique is simple terms using elementary probability theory. Both the Warner's model and the Simmon's model of RRT for obtaining sensitive attribute data are discussed. A brief discussion on obtaining sensitive quantitative information is also included. |
