dc.description.abstract | The note gives a brief overview of the programming language, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) as a tool to enhance the power of MS Excel in problem solving. It presents the features available in VBA that facilitate development of applications which work with the spreadsheet data. The note gives several user defined functions developed to enhance the power of Excel in solving complex problems which were not easy to develop with Excel alone. Some of these functions simplify the process of developing solutions on Excel. Each example includes the program listing, an illustration of using the function on note also gives examples of several user-defined subroutines. These include those which work with worksheet cells, ranges, and data received through Input Box; and also those created through macros and modified to accomplish a much larger task. | en |
