This is a preliminary attempt to study the Emotional Intelligence of the male executives working in the Public sector and the Private sector organisations in India. The purpose of this study is to explore whether the level of emotional intelligence is affected by the place of work. The study is based on primary data. The sample data, based on the responses of fifty participants attending the Management Development Programmes conducted at IIMA, focused on a checklist prepared by the researchers on the basis of the four-cornerstone model developed by Robert Cooper and Ayman Sawaf.en
