dc.description.abstractThe case explores Indian Crude Oil producing company ONGC. In 2008, two executives of ONGC Mr. Rajagopala Rao and Mr. Debashish Das were contemplating implementation of Knowledge Management System in the organization. The company had already implemented various IT and KM initiatives. The company was going through a tough phase with lot of competition both in customer market and in the employee market coming in. The case presents discussion with several top executives of the company. Through these discussions, a team, consisting of two professors of IIM Ahmedabad and the two executives, try to discover the knowledge journey of senior officers in ONGC. The aim is to develop a blueprint for KM in ONGC.en
