| Abstract: | The monograph is based on some experimental studies in cooperative and competitive behaviour. The project was financed by the Indian Council of Social Science Research, and parts of the grant were used to finance on doctoral (Banerjee, 1975) and one master-level research (Dixit, 1973) students employed on the project. Four different studies were conducted. Detailed results of these studies have been reported in professional journals,and these will be referred to in this monograph. The monograph attempts to synthesize all these studies to present an integrated understanding about cooperative and competitive behaviour. |
