The design of Management Control Systems has been essentially "standardized" for the past few years as a result of extensive research, writing, and practical experience. The specific objectives of this research project are therefore, to provide a deeper understanding and systematic analysis of the implementation problems of management control systems in Indian companies, and to determine the relationship, if any, between these problems on one hand, and the characteristics of the companies and the design of management control systems on the other.en
