Corporate planning in the context of national planning
Abstract
Identifying the opportunities and constraints in the environment is considered as the essential first step in formulating a corporate plan. To what extent is this task rendered easy when a national plan exists for a country? What are the additional factors that are brought into play in such a situation. The nature and content of planning vary from country to country. At one extreme there are countries like the Soviet Union and China where nearly all the sectors of the economy are brought under the direct purview of the planning authorities.
