    Abstract
    The study examines the supply chain organization of retail chains and explores their impact on primary vegetable producers and local vegetable vendors with primary survey contact/contract growers and vendors in Gujarat, Karnataka, and Punjab (Chandigarh). It examines the issues of small producer exclusion or inclusion and strategies to promote inclusiveness of chains besides examining the value added of their operations.
