Indian truck routing problem - a special case of VRP

Abstract

The typical vehicle routing problem solving techinicques are not valid in India due to a significant difference in the pricing structure of transportation; this project report attempts to look at the Indian truck routing problem; certain theoretical aspects of the problem are considered and then an iterative procedure is developed that enables the rapid selection a near optimum route.
