    Abstract
The keynote address presented at the 73rd Annual Conference of ISAE has provided an overview of the agribusiness system, with the significant constraints, demands and shifts that lead to the transformation of agribusiness. It also states the elements of the framework for the growth of input agribusiness. The features, developments and various models in agribusiness are examined and lessons indicate that there is a need for multiple business models to be experimented with for the organisation of agribusiness activities. However, long-term commitment and investment from the private sector and strong partnership is now essential for success in business and benefits to the large numbers of small farmers and poor. The examples of a few notable agribusiness models with their features and comparison like the AMUL Co-operative Model, the Nestle Model, Suguna Poultry Model, PepsiCo Model, Heritage Foods Model, ITC e-Choupal Model are quite interesting.
