Abstract

It is within the fascinating frame of sports as a school of managerial learning that this case examines the relationship between politics and sports, Government and sports administration, sports associations and sports persons. When differences arise as a result of positions taken by high profile international tennis stars on the matter of the selection of a team to represent the country in the Tennis doubles events of the London Olympics, 2012, the Sports Minister is faced with the dilemma of whether to intervene or not.
