This study explores the impact of using videos and computer simulations along with the expository method of teaching at a high school level. Interest, engagement level, concentration levels are studied along with a conceptual test to analyze the changes performance as per the conditions and the teaching method used. The study was carried out in two schools taking physics as the subject, with static electricity chosen as the topic. It was observed that videos and simulation leads to a significant increase in interest level and the concentration of students, though it was seen that interest was not directly correlated to concentration level. Finally, statistical tests validating the differences in performance of students across the three conditions were inconclusive. This means that though interest and concentration levels of students increase due to use of videos and simulation, it does not necessarily lead to an improved conceptual understanding.en_US
