dc.description.abstractAn attempt has been made in this study to estimate the sources of economic growth of Indian economy during the period 1960-61 to 1993-94. The study presents the estimates of the contribution made by various factors such as labour input, land input, capital input and total factor productivity to the average annual growth rate of (a) Indian economy as a whole; (b) the primary, the secondary and the tertiary sectors of the economy; (c) the public sector as well as the private sector. An attempt has also been made to estimate the sources of acceleration in the growth rate of Indian economy during the post 1980-81 period.en
