dc.description.abstract | The current Indian meat/ poultry industry is dominated by unorganized small scale business. Only a very few among them are following good manufacturing practices and subjecting themselves to rigorous quality checks. The branded meat industry in India is in very nascent stage and it’s a green field market. The awareness among the customers about the branded meat is very limited and the market penetration of these products is also minuscule. But, the rising income and increasing awareness among the consumers are rising the demand for better quality products. With rising regulations and awareness, the future of branded meat industries looks promising. | en_US |
