Contraceptive Adoption in India - Searching for Insights
Abstract
Indian population is growing at a rapid pace and consequentially family planning services are becoming essential for family and child welfare. The main responsibility of the family planning services is to facilitate awareness on proper contraceptive methods which enable the population in deciding the ideal number of children and spacing between their births. Using data from the Third National Family Health Survey, this case aims to use data analysis techniques to understand the effect of major socio-economic indicators on the preferences for contraceptive methods among Indian women.
