Marginal Abatement Cost Curves(MACCs) is an important policy tool to decide the optimum level of reduction in the emissions of a pollutant. This paper uses bottom-up engineering approach to construct SO2 Marginal Abatement Cost Curves(MACCs) for the Indian coal- red power plant industry by considering three End-of-Line(EOL) control technologies namely: Fresh water Flue Gas Desulphurization (Wet FGD), Dry Flue Gas Desulphurization (Dry FGD), Saline water Flue Gas Desulphurization (Saline FGD). This is also an effort towards filling the gap in data availability in the context by gathering and consolidating data from various reliable primary and secondary sources.en_US
