Impact of career acceleration programmes on employee retention in capital intensive industries
Abstract
In simple words, employee retention measures the ability of an organisation to ensure that its employees remain in the organisation for the maximum possible time (Das & Baruah, 2013). In the current competitive environment, it is essential that an organisation retains its key employees. Today organisations need to ensure a solid link between their human resource planning activities and their business strategy. Modern human resource plans consist of four major activities – resourcing, flexibility, retention and downsizing (Armstrong & Taylor, 2014).
