    Abstract
Although the Supreme Court recently demolished the Gender Discrimination in the army by considering women officers for the permanent commissions, the decision itself took more than a decade to come to a final conclusion. The issue with gender parity is not only limited to Permanent commissions but also to many other aspects as well. Women in Indian Army are not given the responsibility of the combat roles, nor are they actively involved in the frontiers, alternatively called as the Infantry. According to The Wire [1], the major reasons for such nequality converge to basic Psychological schooling of the Army Personals involved at the top-management levels. The article suggested that the overall culture itself has conditioned to be male-dominating since its inception and that there is a narrow window of the acceptance of any command from women officers.
