    Abstract
With an ever-increasing need and urgency to switch from traditional fuels in the mobility sector to greener alternatives, considering the environmental impacts of an internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle, the battery enabled vehicles (BEV) are considered safe and cleaner-greener alternatives to the same. Rising travel demand and need for India’s energy security consequential to increasing urbanization and economic growth moreover incentivize the process of switching to battery enabled Vehicles. The following project report delves into the strategies that can help promote electric vehicles’ overall growth in India. Further, we would explore the possible areas of government intervention in smoothening the adoption of electric vehicles by tackling the significant hindrances identified through primary and secondary research. Further, the project report utilizing a survey will explore consumer perception of electric vehicles, major advantages, and disadvantages associated with the same. We would also like to explore consumer choice of vehicle if willing to buy an electric vehicle and the crucial steps that must be taken to boost the Electric Vehicle growth in India.
