dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between the IPO company related sentiments in news and the underpricing of the IPOs in the Indian market. The study will establish the relationship between the prior 1-month sentiments obtained from news articles and various types of underpricing of the IPO. There is limited literature on IPO related sentiment analysis in the Indian context, and therefore the scope of research is to apply the established Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods to analyze the relationship between sentiments and IPOs of Indian companies. The study will be utilizing data from the 2021 IPOs, for a total of 63 companies. | en_US |
