Future perspectives on progressive farming
Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this article is to assess how progressive stakeholders see the implementation of modern methods, including virtual technology, in promoting sustainable quality in the context of a rising economy.
• Design, methodology, and approach — To build the theoretical framework for virtual reality (VR) technology adoption in maintaining quality in agricultural production, we have used a comprehensive literature study.
• Study restrictions/implications - The study that was conducted on the perception of the future of VR technology has restrictions. The results on technology adoption are widely known, but it will take the employed technology a long time to find applications in the agricultural industry. With the use of virtual reality (VR) technology, the study presents significant theoretical, managerial, and policy implications for sustainable quality in agricultural production. Very few papers on the adoption of VR technology were discovered by us.
• Originality/value - The study talks about virtual reality, which affects maintaining the calibre of agricultural produce. The study has significant managerial and policy ramifications that point to the potential use of VR in farm production in the future. The study is a new field that requires investigation to understand potential future perspectives.
