Appraisal of Working Capital Loans
Abstract
The case describes how two farmers in a village seek crop loan from a branch of a nationalized bank. Information is provided on stock of capital, sale of farm produce, purchases of inputs and services, and generation and use of liquidity in addition to general information about farm households. The agricultural officer of the branch is required to appraise the working capital loan needs of the two farmers. As a developmental agency, he may also advise them on needed investments on their farms.
