dc.description.abstractThe case describes the origin and growth of a Kerala-based bank to become one of the largest private sector banks in the country. The bank introduced a number of innovative schemes and expanded branch network all over the country and outside. Details of the different deposit schemes, organizational structure, and the nature of the chairman’‘s leadership are also given. With this background the bank wants to grow to become one of the largest banks in the country and circulated a document in this regard. The case provides an opportunity to discuss the characteristics of this too ambitious a growth plan and issues for strategy implementation.en
