dc.description.abstract	The case is based on a project prepared for the development of rural economy of a taluka in the Chengai Anna district of Tamil Nadu. The project involves setting up of a modern rice mill under the cooperative form of organization, whose principal aim is to enhance the income of the member paddy farmers. Provided in the case are all the relevant data on project design and implementation, and poses questions on its viability and sensitivity to the critical factors.	en
