The Case of the Baffled Garment Exporter
Abstract
This case illustrates the decision problems facing a garment exporter when exchange rates change drastically. The intent of the case is to highlight the concept of real risk versus nominal risk. The case also aims to get students to realize that management decision depend on underlying realities, not purely exchange market whims.
