Basmati Paddy Procurement Plan

Abstract

This exercise on planning procurement of agricultural produce (Basmati paddy) for processing for the commencing season, gives information on major produce markets, and about major competitors. It also gives the indices of arrivals and prices for the six identified markets over eight weeks of peak arrivals. The idea is to evolve a procurement plan for an agribusiness doing processing and exports of basmati rice.
