Income and employment prospects of drought prone farmers - role of credit and technology

Abstract

Predominance if rainfed cultivation dictates the prospects or otherwise of Indian agriculture and more so of Karnataka where over 80 per cent of the land is rainfied. Frequent exposure to natural calamities like brought has made farming in such areas a risky proposition.
