Stress and mental workload - a study in an industrial setting
Abstract
The study attempts to identify and determine the differential
response profile of three tevels of management on the different
measures of stress and mental workload as welt as to examine
the relation between stress and mental workload In the three
levels of management The results indicated that (I) higher and
middle management had higher and simitar levels of stress and
mental workload, followed by tower management, {It) the 'Per*
ceived Effort "factor of mental workload was the main contributor
for the prediction of stress, and (III) the respondents betonging
to the technical departments were less stress pr?nex rfi&re alert
and more satisfied than the respondents belonging to commer
cial departments.
