Renewable energy technologies, like biomas conversion, biogas, wind mills and solar devices are being actively promoted by the governments. Many of these technologies have reached a stage for commercialization. This paper reviews the processes and problems of commercialization of renewable energy technologies as a management problem of introduction of new product in the market. The issues discussed in the paper are not merely the marketing aspect of new-product introduction, but also the major policy issues to be tackled by the government and private enterprise.en
