dc.description.abstractA segment of bulk export opportunities is generated by international funding agencies such as the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. The share of Indian business in these opportunities, however, has been rather low. With a view to increasing the preparedness of Indian business in bulk export opportunities of goods and services generated through international funding agencies, this paper is designed to : (a) discuss the stages and process of international competitive bidding; (b) enumerate the problems of and reasons for bid rejection; (c) suggest measures to improve share of Indian business at firm and government levels; (d) suggest means to enhance India's share in consultancy services.en
