The present study was designed to empirically examine the following questions: (1) What are the most significant determinants of the concepts of role conflict, role clarity, quality of supervision, job tension and job satisfaction? (2) How are role conflict, tension, and satisfaction in a salesman's job related to each other and with other important organizational variables like role clarity, quality of supervision, and the length of service with the company?
