Abstract

Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) at Vellore was founded in 1900 as a one bed clinic by Dr. Ida Scudder. Since then CMCH has gradually grown into an institute of international reputation with more than 1,800 beds and 4000 employees on its staff. The Medical and Nursing colleges together offer 83 recognized training programmes in medical, nursing, and paramedical fields.
